Save The Date: Church Interpreter Training Institute
The Church Interpreter Training Institute (CITI), which exists to equip church members, professional church workers and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters through specialized instruction to assist and serve the Christian Church in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people who are Deaf, will be held on June 25 to July 6, 2018, at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Ind.
CITI will focus on Biblical studies, ASL instruction, facial and body expression, religious vocabulary, interpreting Scripture and liturgy and more. Application to offer continuing education credits for RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) interpreters for the first time this summer is in process.
