Mill Neck Manor Celebrates Spirit Week
Mill Neck Manor (MNM) School for the Deaf students celebrated spirit week in style with a variety of fun-filled activities. From uniform day to wacky day, the students displayed their school spirit proudly.
And this year, there was a lot to cheer about. The Mill Neck competitive cheerleading team represented their Mill Neck by traveling to American School for the Deaf in Connecticut for the Eastern Schools for the Deaf Athletic Association competition with their coaches Antilla Zulkifl and Erica Dollin as well as Athletic Director Larry Manning.
During spirit week, students and staff gathered in the gymnasium sporting black and gold for the school pep rally.
Both cheerleading teams (traditional and competitive) made their way to the middle of the gymnasium floor to perform their routines and introduce the MNM’s fall and winter athletic teams: volleyball, soccer and basketball.
As momentum reached maximum heights, the crowd and participants geared up for the for the student-staff volleyball match.
“It was fun to play with the staff even though they won,” says Keren Guerra, a MNM sophomore.
Let’s go, Mill Neck Manor!
