Apple Festival: Fall Fun for the Entire Family
More than 15 thousand visitors jumped into the fall season at Mill Neck Family’s Annual Apple Festival on Oct. 6 and 7. A long-standing tradition in the Long Island community since 1957, this year’s festival, which fully benefits Deaf children and adults, featured a variety of new activities, rides and delicious food options for its attendees.
Located on Mill Neck’s 86-acre campus, home to the Mill Neck Family of Organizations—committed to creating a world in which Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals are included, empowered, celebrated and embraced as equals through quality educational, employment, audiological and spiritual programs and services—the Apple Festival was one to remember.
Boasting 12 different varieties of apples, tours of the historic Mill Neck Manor, Karl Ehmer specialty meats, carnival rides and games, raffles and prizes, free hearing testing from Center for Hearing Health’s, a pie eating contest, trolley rides and more, this special event raised funds to support the Deaf community locally and worldwide.
A huge thank you to all of our attendees, sponsors, volunteers, friends, family and staff. Mill Neck would not be possible without all of dedicated support!
